I started physical therapy yesterday. I was pretty nervous because I had no idea what to expect. The facility was within Kaiser (which I’m a member of) and it was pretty nice compared to the other Kaiser buildings. My physical therapist was really nice; she reminded me of my aunt in a way. She asked me a few questions and what I wanted to get out of doing physical therapy. Then she had me walk up the hallway, stand in different angles, balance on one foot, etc.

Then she told me to lay down and she was massaging both my legs and ankles to see if I felt any tenderness. Then she said that she wanted to do cold laser light therapy on my right leg all the way down to my heel. It’s called “cold” laser light but it actually made me feel warm. I noticed a bit of difference, but I’m going to go back every week to get it done and it will help in the long run. She also gave me some exercises to do at home.

I’m glad I went. I feel better about it now.
