My best friend came to visit me last weekend. She was here from February 25-March 1. It was so nice having her here. I really miss hanging out with her. We went to Santa Cruz, Gilroy, San Francisco, and then just hung out. It was fun.

I met up with my old co-workers on Thursday. I met up with one for lunch and another for dinner. There is some crazy stuff going on my old work and it kind of makes me glad I moved on.

Anyway, my computer got a virus on it and I had to reinstall Windows. I lost EVERYTHING. I’m not that upset as I thought I would be, but it does suck having to start all over again. At least my computer is faster now. Ha.

Well, that’s it for now.

Are you surprised to see an update? I am too. Ha, but I wanted to just post about my weekend. I had a great weekend. On Saturday, my mom, aunt, and grandmama went to go see Wicked in San Francisco. We took the BART over there and then watched the show. It was the second time my mom and I had seen it and we loved it just as much. Then we headed back here and grabbed dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant and it was delicious! My dad met up with us for dinner. After, we headed to my aunt and grandmama’s hotel. They decided to stay in a hotel so they wouldn’t have to make the hour drive back to their area. At the hotel, we played dominoes and had a great time. Then my mom, dad, and I headed back to our house, which was only 5 mins away!

Then today, my mom and I went to their hotel and had breakfast. Then the four of us headed to the mall and shopped around a bit. I got a new blush from MAC that my grandmama bought. Then they headed back to their house and my mom and I went and got our nails done.

I just had so much fun this weekend with my family. I love them all!

I’m here… I just haven’t had anything to update about really. My life isn’t that interesting at this point. I have no job and I don’t really do much. I have seen quite a bit of movies lately. I guess I could update about that, ha.

As far as school goes, I’m doing great so far this semester. On my first test for my computer class, I got a 53/50. I had the highest score. I was proud of myself. I haven’t missed any school or lagged on homework. Yay me!

Anyway, my best friend is coming out to visit me next week. I’m so excited. I haven’t seen her since January, which actually isn’t that bad because we usually go longer without seeing each other. We both really need each other right now so I’m excited to see her.

We’re going to try and do as much fun stuff as possible. We are for sure hitting up San Francisco & Santa Cruz. I will have something to update with after she leaves! She’s coming February 25th-March 1st. Hooray!

So my trip to southern California was fun! I got to see my friends and family, which is what I wanted to do! I went to Disneyland with my two best friends. I really do miss being able to see them all the time, but I was happy I did get to spend a whole day with them! I also saw my family. One of my cousins had a baby last June and I got to see him for the first time while I was there! It was nice.

I started school today. I’m taking two classes: Introduction to Computer Application Systems and Introduction to Microsoft Excel. I’m thinking these are going to be easy classes.. haha. I’m excited to learn some new stuff though!

Wow, 2009 seemed to fly by. I think this past year went pretty well for me. It had its ups and downs, but I can say I’m glad with how it turned out. I’m looking forward to starting 2010.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I did! I spent it with family and we had a great time. I liked all the presents I got and I hope everyone liked the presents I gave them. I love the holiday season!

I’m leaving for a road trip to southern California tomorrow. I’m going to be gone for a week. I’m going with my mom and dad. I plan on seeing all my friends and family while I’m there. I know I want to go to Disneyland for sure. I can’t wait to see everyone.

Well, that’s it for now. I’m off to finish packing!

Where does the time go?

Yesterday was my last day at my job. I love working with children, but I really feel like it is time I pursue my career in business. Business is ultimately the career I want to be in. I would love to find a job as an administrative assistant or something in a business or corporation for now. From there, I would like to work my way up and maybe eventually become a CEO. I am still getting my AA in Early Childhood Development, but I am going to get my BS in Business Administration. I’m really excited to start this new chapter of my life.

I am done with school for this semester! I finished on Wednesday evening. I emailed one of my teacher’s today and she said I got an A in the class. I got a 24 out of 25 on my last test. I am super proud of myself. When I was going to my other college, I was not doing so hot — I mean failing. I am glad that I am doing better at this school. It taught me a lesson too, because I was so anti community college before and now that I am at one, it is the best thing ever (for me). However, I am looking forward to going back to a four year university because I think I have taught myself a lot of self discipline in the last year and a half. I am excited to see how I did in my other classes.

Christmas is just around the corner! I cannot believe how fast it came. I remember when I was a child counting down the days and now it comes too fast, but I am glad it is here! We are going down to my Grandmama’s again for the holidays. We will be celebrating Christmas Eve there and Christmas day with my aunt and uncle who live less than five minutes away from my Grandmama. I am excited to be with my family. It is just going to be a small gathering, but sometimes those can be the best.

Thanksgiving!

My Thanksgiving was fun. We went to visit my Grandmama in the Santa Cruz area. We went down Wednesday afternoon and came back Sunday. We had a great time. I love spending time with my family. There were a total of 12 of us for Thanksgiving. It was nice to see my cousin who I hadn’t seen since I moved up here!

Then on Saturday, my uncle and aunt who spent Thanksgiving with my aunt’s parents game to visit us. They were only 40 minutes away so they drove over to my Grandmama’s and we had dinner and sang karaoke. Typical Filipinos.

On Sunday, I went to go see The Blind Side with my mom, aunt, and Grandmama. I liked the movie! After that, we rushed back to my Grandmama’s and headed home. It’s only an hour drive but we wanted to make it back before it gets dark.

Overall, I had a great time!

Porcelain Sinks

The house I’m living in now is really nice. Before we moved in, our landlord had a lot of things done to make it nice for us. However, one thing that was not done well was the finish of the sinks. I have been looking at porcelain vessel sinks and found some great sinks for under $100! That’s a great deal. I really liked the Porcelain Bathroom Sink and it is only $49! I’m definitely going to look more into this!
